Front of House
Do you like meeting people? Do you have a passion for amazing customer service? Can you work effectively in a fast-paced environment in a small town? As a Front of House team member, you’ll be ringing up customers, taking food orders, delivering food to customers, keeping the story stocked, neat and tidy, and making sure that guests of the Saxapahaw General Store are treated to a positive experience from the time they enter the store to the moment they leave. It’s an amazing place to work, with awesome and unforgettable co-workers in a unique work environment.
Responsibilities include:
– Maintaining positive interactions with lots of customers
– Operating a cash register, and being responsible for accurate transactions
– Keeping the front of house looking its best– this includes stocking, cleaning, processing incoming deliveries, and other tasks to make the General Store a pleasant place to be
– Writing tickets for food orders accurately, double checking the accuracy of food when it comes out, and running food to customers with a smile
– Filling and packing online orders, and keeping track of online inventory
Full and part time available. Personal protective equipment provided.
Customer service experience preferred.

Line Cook
As a Line Cook, you’ll be tasked with bringing the Saxapahaw General Store’s esteemed menu creations to life with your culinary skills. We serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, with food that is consciously selected, locally grown and lovingly prepared.
Responsibilities include:
– Cooking a wide variety of dishes that people love…burgers, pizza, breakfast, brunch, sandwiches, tacos, dinner plates and more.
– Food and ingredient prep
– Understanding and complying with food safety standards and regulations in food prep, cooking and food storage
– Working as an effective team member in a fast-paced kitchen environment
– Using effective communication to make sure that orders are done in a timely manner, to make sure that you and the rest of your team have what they need, when they need it and to make sure the kitchen runs smoothly

Dishwasher
Sometimes, the most important jobs aren’t the ones in the spotlight. As a Dishwasher at the Saxapahaw General Store, you’ll be behind the scenes, keeping everything humming with your dishwashing skills.
Responsibilities include:
-Keeping the kitchen and front of house stocked with dishes, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, and more.
-Keeping up with kitchen safety and cleanliness standards
-Emptying trash, bus bins and recycling
-Working as an effective team member in a fast-paced kitchen environment
-Utilizing effective communication between the kitchen, front of house and other store employees to make sure that things are running smoothly.
-May require occasional food and ingredient prep
