2022 in Review: The Year Full of Big Surprises

November

Making new friends and meeting new people is what this place is all about.

The day before the duo Hairy Legged Women were scheduled to play at the Saxapahaw Artisan Fair, they stopped by our patio to play some music for the village.

Fresh collards mean fresh braised collard greens!

Even more beautiful Saxapahaw babies! Welcome to the world baby Woody!

Closing the store sometimes means late nights troubleshooting the registers, but goofy glasses make it more fun.

Kevin is a huge fan of oysters, so in November, he organized a night of fresh oysters and live music, and it was a blast. Jack even got to try oysters for the first time!

Fresh burgers, fresh ingredients, fun times, Bruce looking like he wished that he ordered a Rico burger.

Turkey, collards, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce… Kevin dressed as a turkey. Yup, it must be Thanksgiving in Saxapahaw!

And with November comes a flood of gifts made by local artists, because it’s already time to start thinking about holiday gift giving.

To prove exactly what a magical place Saxapahaw is, these two young ladies had a surprise visit from childhood friends who were visiting the area all the way from Alaska! ALASKA!

And a new stack of beers means new attempts to try and take photos of babies posing with the beer. We’re weirdos. It’s okay.
