2022 in Review: The Year Full of Big Surprises

February

With so many incredibly creative people in this village, when there’s a new year, we have people like Anita Lorraine who take inspiration from chickens to create the most wonderfully Saxapahaw calendars ever.

Our banh-mi doesn’t really have anything to do with February specifically, but it’s just a very delicious and popular sandwich that’s a little different from the burgers, pizzas and other sandwiches.

Though we do sell A LOT of burgers, and when it’s cold outside, nothing warms you up quite like hot grass-fed beef patties on a toasted bun.

And sometimes, we all have to chip in to help each other out, even if it means bouncing back and forth from the kitchen to serving food to hungry customers.

And in the middle of it all…. Valentine’s Day, which means delicious Valentine’s Day brunch, to let someone know how much you care for them through the love language of French toast.

February is one of the slowest months of the year for us, so it gave us lots of time to completely redecorate the store… moving shelves…

Painting the walls (getting rid of that old bright yellow!)…

And re-painting the signs above the beer coolers!

But then by the end of the month, there were definite reminders that spring was on the way.
